Equine Behaviour Package
Supporting your horse’s confidence, understanding and wellbeing on the ground
Ground-based behavioural challenges are often a sign that a horse is feeling worried, overwhelmed or unsure in certain situations. This package is designed to support horses who are struggling with everyday handling or management situations, while helping owners gain a deeper understanding of their horse’s behaviour and needs.
This is a non-ridden behaviour support package, focused on improving communication, confidence and cooperation using positive reinforcement and welfare-led approaches.
Common concerns this package supports:
-
Difficulty loading into a trailer or horsebox
-
Problems being caught from the field
-
Anxiety when separated from other horses
-
Handling challenges (moving away, head shy behaviour, tension)
-
Difficulty standing for grooming, hoof care or veterinary procedures
-
Avoidance, freezing, rushing or defensive behaviour on the ground

-
Identify contributing factors such as environment, learning history and physical comfort
-
Understand your goals and concerns
This session focuses on understanding why the behaviour is happening, not just what you’re seeing.
